I build everything with my hands, no assistants and certainly no maker-bots. Most of the time working is hard, heavy, hot and strenuous. Every hand stroke, every fingerprint indentation and all the movement of color are within my hands as they engage in the building process.

In the beginning of 2019, I bought a property near Joshua Tree. For me, that is now the ability to control the body of work I have produced over a long time span and to build sculpture without any restriction, I needed space.

On this property, I am able to produce large-scale ceramics, concrete, bronzes and woodworks. Like Noah Purifoy, I have planted some roots. Which, as a sculptor of large works, has allowed me to be free from the struggles of money and space.
